Our research focuses on the heaviest elements in the periodic table:
the actinides and transactinides.

The main activities include the study of

  • production and nuclear properties of the superheavy elements (SHE)
  • gas-phase chemical studies of transactinide elements and their compounds
  • production of tailor-made actinide samples for chemistry and physics applications
